All
of our products come from our greenhouses, located in the Lacandone
and Amazon Rainforests. The plants and bark used in our herbolary mixtures
are organically cultivated, controlled and cared for by individuals,
without cutting the rainforest or harming its biodiversity. They are
analyzed in our laboratories to guarantee their quality and biological
purity. Our plants and bark are grown free of pesticides or chemical
products, and have not been genetically altered.
Amazonas
Herbs Laboratories, employs native labor from the rainforest,
thus creating a source of work and income for the indigenous communities
within the area. There are also educational programs, which respect
the customs and traditions of the Indians at all times.
Our products were created in accordance with the knowledge and experience of the native Indians to cure with plants. This wisdom is hundreds of years old, and has been studied and documented by Dr. Garza Avila. He was adopted as an apprentice by different shamans and healers for 20 years.
Dr. Garza Avila made a commitment to learn the ways in which to cure with plants, which were taught to him by the healers. He later backed up this knowledge scientifically, by clinically studying plant treatments on humans, as well as making varied and sophisticated studies of the plants.
He
was also busy identifying and making a list of the illnesses that the
Indians know under different names, depending upon the area and region
where they live. For example, Menopause, is called "chalagua"
in some tribes, which literally means "troubled spirit".
In this manner, Dr. Garza perfected the Indian treatments by identifying the illnesses that they cured, determining dosage amounts, and mixing the various plants used by different tribes, to successfully cure the same illness. The existence of more than one plant with active substances for treating the same illness is common; these became part of the herbal mixtures that produce better results when healing ailments, through joint interaction.
It has been proved, both through knowledge of the shamans, and scientific studies, that all of these plants have active substances that contribute to healing certain ailments.
